The proposal for a Council Decision of 1 February 1991 (COM(91) 13) includes budgetary amendments to three specific programmes in the nuclear field under the second framework programme. In order to step up the search for and development of new energy options the Council shall increase from ECU 122 million to ECU 162 million the appropriation for the JOULE programme, and reduce the amounts for other specific RTD programmes in order not to exceed the total financial provision.
