Budgetary amendments to specific RTD programmes in the nuclear field
The proposal for a Council Decision of 1 February 1991 (COM(91) 13) includes budgetary amendments to three specific programmes in the nuclear field under the second framework programme. In order to step up the search for and development of new energy options the Council shall increase from ECU 122 million to ECU 162 million the appropriation for the JOULE programme, and reduce the amounts for other specific RTD programmes in order not to exceed the total financial provision. Proposed amendments are: Controlled thermonuclear fusion (Decision 88/448/Euratom) - Article 2, first paragraph, "735" is replaced by "730"; JRC programme on nuclear fission safety (Decision 88/522/Euratom) - Article 2, "448,3" is replaced by "446,3" and part amounts in the Annex are reduced in proportion; management and stockage of radioactive waste (Decision 89/644/Euratom) - Article 2 and Annex A, "79,6" is replaced by "78,6" and part amounts in the Annex are reduced in proportion.
