Research and training for nuclear energy - call for proposals
The European Commission has published a call for proposals for the Euratom research and training programme on nuclear energy. The call addresses the following areas: - geological disposal; - partitioning and transmutation and other concepts to produce less waste in nuclear energy generation; - radioactive waste management infrastructures; - quantification of risks associated with low and protracted exposures; - medical exposures and natural sources of radiation; - protection of the environment and radioecology; - risk and emergency management; - innovative concepts; - education and training; - safety of existing installations; - cross-cutting activities for nuclear technologies and safety.
