A new Regional Service for Lazio in Italy is now available on CORDIS
The Italian region of Lazio now has its own homepage for research and innovation activities on CORDIS, the EU's official online information service on research, technological development and innovation. Including an introduction to the region, which is home to 200 companies and 30,000 employees in the aerospace sector alone, the service was developed jointly by CORDIS and regional players such as Development Lazio (Sviluppo Lazio), Filas (Finanziaria laziale di Sviluppo) and the regional administration, as well as the Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE) and the Central Italy Innovation Relay Centre (CIRCE). The new service provides an overview of research and development (R&D) in the Lazio region, with profiles of research and innovation in Lazio, research organisations based there and funding opportunities for research, development and innovation in Lazio. There is also a section detailing EU support for R&D for regional players, including: the Sixth Framework Programme for technological research and development (FP6), funding opportunities for research, development and innovation at EU level, and links to other CORDIS services. A 'What's New' section has the latest news on calls and tenders for research and innovation funding opportunities, as well as a press review of science news sources and forthcoming events on research and innovation. The service also includes links to organisations promoting research activities and links to science news headlines. The service is available in English and in Italian, and is part of the CORDIS Regional gateway, which now covers 32 European regions.
