New reference manual for CORDIS
The CORDIS Reference Manual is a new manual for users of CORDIS databases. It is in a loose-leaf format and incorporates separate sections for future CORDIS products such as WATCH-CORDIS. The manual deals in detail with each of the CORDIS Databases and provides instructions for the Common Command Language, the CORDIS Menu System as well as the popular CORDIS CD-ROM. It also contains other information necessary for users, such as the codes used in CORDIS databases, a glossary and other supplementary information. In each of the sections dealing with the database interrogation systems (Common Command Language, the CORDIS Menu System, and the CD-ROM) the basic information follows a broadly similar pattern based first on introductory material and a description of the technical features, followed by operating information and a number of search examples. The design of the manual reflects the facility with which information can be accessed through CORDIS. The CORDIS Reference Manual is free to registered CORDIS users.
