The European Commission's Research DG has published a call for tenders for the provision of a European textbook on ethics in research.

The textbook should:
- identify major ethical issues in all domains of scientific research that may involve human beings,
- present relevant case studies that address issues of major significance; analyse the ethical implications in the light of the different positions characterising the European debate on ethics of science; where appropriate, the analysis should also present the key arguments provided by the main monotheistic religious groups and reflect the scientific and cultural traditions in the EU, with reference to the differences between, and communalities shared by, these traditions.For further information, please contact:
