The SPRINT technology performance financing scheme
The Commission calls for proposals and expressions of interest by European financial institutions to implement the technology performance financing scheme under the SPRINT programme. The scheme provides a means by which the perceived risks of acquiring new technology can be overcome by making payment partially contingent on the performance of the technology according to predefined targets. Such financing involves a third party providing advanced funding to the supplier to bridge the installation/payment gap.
