Wind-up of Consultative Council of Regional and Local Authorities
The Consultative Council of Regional and Local Authorities has been officially wound up in view of the fact that the recently established Committee of the Regions has now begun to operate. The Committee of the Regions consists of representatives of regional and local bodies, thus creating an institution through which regional and local bodies can officially be involved in the drawing up and the implemention of certain EU policies which affect the regions.
