Commission authorizations for State aid
The European Commission raises no objections to the following authorizations for State aid, pursuant to Articles 92 and 93 of the EC Treaty: Germany: - Laser research 2000 (ECU 84 million); - Microsystems technology 1994 to 1999 (ECU 134 million); - Innovation fund for SMEs (ECU 9.36 million); - Aid measures for investment in and development of recycling technologies (ECU 7.8 million); - Rational use of energy; R&D projects in Nordrhein-Westfalen (ECU 22.3 million); - State aid for R&D in the transport sector (ECU 82 million); - R&D scheme for enterprises in the former GDR (ECU 59 million); - R&D scheme in the former GDR including former East Berlin (ECU 48 million); - Support for the growth of R&D personnel in the former GDR (ECU 54 million); - Programme for the enhancement of new jobs in the defence sector in the framework of the EC Konver initiative (Hamburg) (ECU 712,000); Italy: - Measures to assist industry (ECU 73.3 million).
