Since 1991, in response to the great volume of requests for information, the European Commission (Directorate-General for Regional Policies) has produced an annual compendium of the regional development programmes adopted the previous year. For each programme the compendium sets out the aims, the main assistance priorities, the budget (along with the share of Community financing) and a contact address. This year, as a supplement to the general information provided in the 1993 compendium, the Commission has produced a synopsis of all the 1993 projects for each Member State.
