Commission authorizations for State aid
The European Commission has agreed to the following authorizations for State aid, pursuant to Articles 92 and 93 of the EC Treaty; Germany: - Information technologies: Enhancement of know-how in the field of micro- and optoelectronics (ECU 37.5 million in 1994 and 1995; ECU 39 million in 1996; ECU 40 million in 1997 and 1998); - Measures to promote renewable-sourced energy (ECU 5 million); United Kingdom: - Aid for training and employment for SMEs (ECU 30 million); France: - Industrial conversion measures in coal fields (FF 181 million); Denmark: - Aid scheme for research and tourist parks (amount allocated depends on local authorities' use of the scheme).
