The European Commission's Environment Directorate General has issued a call for tenders for a study into the links between the environment and competitiveness. The study needs to verify to what extent the theories on the links between environment and competitiveness are right in practice. As part of the background, the contractor will undertake a literature review on the links between competitiveness and the environment. However, the focus of the study will be to undertake two case studies examining different links between environment and competitiveness. A first case study on water policy will examine the links between policy and competitiveness, while a second case study will examine the links between environmental performance and economic performance of companies, more specifically concerning resource productivity. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General Environment Markets Team, F.2 - Finance BU-5 00/169 B-1049 Brussels Tel +32 2 296 00 08 Fax +32 2 299 44 49 E-mail: env-tenders@ec.europa.eu To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:116030-2007:TEXT:EN:HTML
