Results of TELEMATICS calls for proposals

In Official Journal No S 51 of 15 March 1994, the European Commission issued a number of calls for proposals in the field of telematics. The results of these calls, which closed on 15 June 1994, are as follows: A call for proposals for a set of exploratory actions in the field of air transport (OJ No S 51 of 15.3.1994 p. 85) received 111 proposals. Of these, DG VII selected 10 proposals (out of 24), of which it is financing three, DG XII selected two (out of 11) and DG XIII selected 13 (out of 76). DG XII projects are expected to start in November. A call for proposals for a series of measures on the subject of telematics for urban areas received 31 proposals, of which four were proposed for acceptance (OJ No S 51 of 15.3.1994 p. 86). A call concerning a pilot action in open and distance learning (methodological and psychopedagogical approach) received 126 proposals, of which four were proposed for acceptance (OJ No S 51 of 15.3.1994 p. 88). A call launched for proposals on accompanying measures for telematics engineering received 27 proposals, of which six were proposed for acceptance (OJ No S 51 of 15.3.1994 p. 93). In general, projects should start in September or October 1994. A list of projects may be available in September. The next general call for telematics projects is planned for 15 September 1994 but has yet to be confirmed.
