Tender: technologies in the IT area
The European Defence Agency has issued a call for tenders concerning disruptive COTS (commercial off-the-shelf technologies) development in the IT (information technology) area. The contract aims at establishing roadmaps for European technology investments in electronic and photonic component technology development for military use, covering the coming 10 years (as from now). These roadmaps should cover the areas of electronic and photonic component technology where commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) development is unlikely to cover known and forecasted military needs. The roadmaps should be based on a technology forecast for COTS electronic and photonic component performance and technical developments. The technology forecast should cover a 20-year perspective; existing civil sources may be used. Particular attention shall be given to the global dimension; to assess if this development of COTS will take place inside or outside the EU.For further information, please contact: European Defence Agency Attn: Contracting Unit Rue des Drapiers, 17-23 B-1050 Brussels Fax: +32 2 504 29 75 E-mail: procurement@eda.europa.eu To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:178106-2007:TEXT:EN:HTML(opens in new window)
