Operations to promote tropical forests
The European Commission has published an amended proposal for a Council Regulation (EC) on operations to promote tropical forests. The Community will support actions to promote the conservation and sustainable management of tropical forests and associated biological diversity. The Community intends to expand its actions in all appropriate ways, within the context of its environment policy and its new development cooperation policy (as laid down by the Treaty on European Union).
