Tender: diagnostic capacity for viral diseases
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has issued a call for tenders for a study assessing the diagnostic capacity of the Member States for emerging and re-emerging viral diseases. In order to ensure a timely and effective response to health threats posed by emerging and re-emerging viral diseases, the ECDC wants to assess the diagnostic capacity available in the European Member States. A European strategy for ensuring quality assurance of diagnostic tests will be needed to maintain and to further enhance the response capacity to these agents on the European level.
