European Directory of Research Centres in the Fisheries Sector
The European Commission, DG XIV, has published the "European Directory of Research Centres in the Fisheries Sector". The EU has given priority in the common fisheries policy to the promotion of research into all aspects of fisheries, from marine fisheries techniques to aquaculture and to the marketing of fisheries products. The Commission's objective is to act as a catalyst for research through the coordination of research programmes and by facilitating the flow of information. This directory provides a listing of all research centres in the fisheries sector in the EU Member States as well as those of Austria, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden. It gives specific information on the facilities, staffing and projects as well as all contact details.
