Technical assistance for the Maghreb
In a proposal for a Council Regulation for economic support for the Maghreb countries, the Commission has highlighted the importance of assistance for small and micro-sized enterprises. Among the means for providing this support are training and industrial restructuring. Access to information will have a key bearing on fostering sustainable economic development and employment creation. Community financing for operations covered by this regulation will be in the form of grants. The Maghreb countries are important EU partners and this Regulation will provide a solid foundation for future cooperation and development.
