The Consumer Policy Service of the European Commission has published a call for expressions of interest from independent consultants to carry out the following tasks:

- Assist Commission services in the follow-up of work in the area of 'consumer transactions', i.e. advertising, marketing techniques, credit, unfair clauses and access to the legal system;
- Contribute to the management of ongoing files, including follow-up of national legislation on transposition in such matters and the preparation of relevant databases;
- Assist with preparatory research for new activities to be undertaken in the areas of remote contracts, consumer organizations' option to go to law, and legal and commercial guarantees.
