Slovenia is the first revamped Member State R&D Information Service on CORDIS
The National Services on CORDIS, the EU's official information service on Research and Development, are being revamped. These services provide information on the national policies and frameworks for research throughout the European Union's Member States, candidate countries, associated countries and countries with S&T cooperation agreements. They also give the latest research-related news and activities of the current and previous presidencies of the Council of the European Union. The Slovenian Member State Service is the first of these services to be revamped, presenting a new, more consistent and simplified layout and content for users. This is in addition to the new service covering the activities of the Slovenian Presidency of the European Council. A dedicated news section provides information on research and innovation policy, projects, results and events with relevance to Slovenia. The service also includes information on the EU-funded projects, results and exploitable technology that have been produced with Slovenian participation. The section on contacts includes information on local support available for potential participants in EU research programmes, known as National Contact Points (NCP). It also includes links to the CORDIS Partners Service, facilitating interested individuals and organisations to find project partners and build project consortia. Finally, a links section provides access to key research actors and stakeholders in Slovenia. The rest of the CORDIS Member State services will be revamped over the course of the first half of 2008.
