Tender: analysing perspectives for EU-US cooperation on space-related applications and services
The European Commission's DG Enterprise and Industry has issued a call for tenders for a study analysing the perspectives for EU-US cooperation on space-related applications and services; including the security of space systems and relevant regulatory issues. The study aims to provide broad-based background information in a transatlantic perspective on key stakeholder requirements in order to support the ongoing process of establishing new transatlantic cooperation in space between the EU and the US, in line with the ongoing EU-US Space Dialogue, and in support of the European Space Policy. Based on such analysis, the study should assess the balance between transatlantic cooperation versus the autonomy goals of both sides. The study should also provide an analysis and assessment of the options and mechanisms for new cooperation, including regulatory issues. For further information, please contact: European Commission Enterprise and Industry DG, Directorate H - Aerospace, GMES, security and defence Attn: Unit H2, Karsten Mecklenburg Avenue d'Auderghem 45 B-1049 Brussels Fax +32 2 298 43 49 E-mail: entr-cft-07-067-EU-US-SPACE@ec.europa.eu.
