Council opinion on Youth for Europe III
The Council has published common position (EC) No 28/94 of 11 July 1994 on a European Parliament and Council Decision adopting the third phase of the "Youth for Europe" programme. The purpose of the proposed Decision is to extend the current "Youth for Europe" programme for a further five years (1995-1999). In its common position, the Council retained the essence of the Commission's proposal, while stressing the importance of flexibility in managing the programme. The amount of Community funds deemed necessary by the Council to implement the programme is ECU 105 million.
