In the framework of the SOCRATES programme, the Task Force for Human Resources, Education, Training and Youth has published an open call for a public services contract. SOCRATES is the Community programme in the field of education. Currently in the process of adoption, it will cover the period 1995-1999. The service contract relates to Action 3, points 1 and 2 of Chapter III of the Annex to the SOCRATES programme, which provides for action to promote the exchange of information and experiences. The action to be undertaken is twofold: - Coordination and stimulation of Eurydice network activities; - Tracking of developments, trends and needs in educational systems in the European Union (gathering of data, development of leading indicators, provision of research services in matters of interest to the Community). The organization selected for the contract will be responsible for managing the action from 1 July 1995 to 30 June 2000, on the basis of a one-year contract renewable annually for a maximum period of five years.
