In the framework of the Community's LEONARDO DA VINCI programme, the Task Force for Human Resources, Education, Training and Youth has published an open call for tender for a public services contract. The contract relates to technical support to be provided to the European Commission in connection with the implementation of the LEONARDO DI VINCI programme, which is concerned with the implementation of Community policy in the field of professional training. At present in the process of adoption, it will cover the period 1995-1999. In connection with the implementation of the programme, the following tasks are required: - To assist the Commission to implement the logistics related to the programme; - To assist the Commission to prepare the calls for proposals to be issued; - To assist the Commission to select projects to be funded; - To provide, in the name of the Commission, administrative and financial management services for various contracts to be awarded under the programme; - To assist the Commission to manage actions unconnected with calls for proposals; - To assist the Commission in certain informational tasks related to the programme; - To assist the Commission in planning, follow-up and evaluative actions related to the programme; - To provide internal management and organizational services. The Commission retains sole responsibility for the implementation of Council decisions and, in particular, for the liquidation of financial contributions committed to the execution of such decisions. The organization selected will be responsible for providing technical support for the LEONARDO DA VINCI programme from 1 May 1995 to 30 April 2000, on the basis of a one-year contract renewable annually for a maximum period of five years.
