European Science and Technology Assembly elects chairman
Dr. Jan Borgman was elected as the chairman of the European Union's European Science and Technology Assembly on 7 September 1994. Dr. Borgman has been Chairman of the Board of the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) since 1988. He held the Chair of Instrumentation for Astronomy and Space Research at the University of Groningen between 1968 and 1981 and was President of the University from 1981-1988.
