Corrigendum: call for tenders for study to assess fund-raising from philanthropy for research funding in European universities
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Research has published a corrigendum to its call for tenders of 13 September 2008 for a study to assess philanthropic fundraising for research funding in European universities. The deadline for submitting documents has been extended to 29 October 2008. As foreseen in the 2007-2008 'Capacities' work programme of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), this study will assess the importance of philanthropic funding in European universities in general, and specifically in support of university-based research. The research includes an identification of universities active in fundraising from philanthropic sources. Afterwards, data will be collected and analysed, notably in terms of their fundraising structure and cost, degree of success, forms of philanthropic support, funds allocation, strategies and tactics adopted to raise funds for research, positive and negative impacts associated with the receipt of philanthropic funding for research, and success and failure factors. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General for Research attention: Yves Dejaegere Office SDME 09/62 B-1049 Brussels Fax +32 2 296 42 87 E-mail: rtd-study-philanthropy-universities@ec.europa.eu To see the full details of the correction, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:254262-2008:TEXT:EN:HTML(opens in new window) To see the original call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:236613-2008:TEXT:EN:HTML(opens in new window)
