The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has published a corrigendum to its call for tenders of 13 June 2009 to study sero-epidemiology as a tool to assess incidences of Salmonella and Campylobacter infections. The deadlines for requesting and submitting tender documents have been extended. Documents may be requested by 31 August. Submission of tenders will be possible until 11 September. The overall aim of this project is to further assess the applicability of using sero-epidemiology as a tool to estimate the population-based sero-incidence of Campylobacteriosis and non-typhoidal Salmonellosis. This will allow a reliable and comparable estimation of multiplication factors for the population burden of these infections across EU and EEA/EFTA countries. The specific objective of this project is to have a usable and applicable sero-epidemiological protocol to assess the incidence of Salmonella and Campylobacter infections in the general, or in a specified, population. For further information, please contact: European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control Tomtebodavägen 11a Attn: Procurement S-171 83 Stockholm, Sweden Tel. +46 858 601 000 Fax +46 858 601 001 E-mail: procurement@ecdc.europa.eu To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:190417-2009:TEXT:EN:HTML(opens in new window)
