Protocol to EEA Agreement amended to include participation in Fourth Framework Programme
The EEA Joint Committee has published its Decision No 10/94 of 12 August 1994 amending Protocol 31 to the EEA Agreement, on cooperation in specific fields outside the four freedoms. Article 1 of Protocol 31 to the Agreement lays down the measures for cooperation in the field of RTD as regards the implementation of the Community Third Framework Programme (1990-1994) through its specific programmes. The Decision amends the Protocol to extend this cooperation to the implementation of the Fourth Framework Programme (1994-1998). From 1 January 1994, the EFTA States will participate in the specific programmes of the Fourth Framework Programme. They will participate in the EC committees which assist the Commission in the management, development and implementation of RTD activities, and will be associated with the work of the Scientific and Technical Research Committee (CREST) and other EC committees which the Commission consults in this field.
