Evaluation of the Human Genome Analysis Programme (1990-1991)
The European Commission, DG XII, has published a report entitled "Evaluation of the Human Genome Analysis programme (1990-1991)". The Human Genome Analysis programme (HGAP) was part of the Second Framework Programme for research and technological demonstration. Genome research is advancing at a rapid pace. In recent years, the progress has been particularly striking in Europe, with the success of initiatives such as yeast whole-chromosomes sequencing, whole genome physical maps as well as refined genetic maps.
