Call for proposals under Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative 2010
The European Commission has published a call for proposals under the Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative 2010. The call has a variety of sub-sections under the different parts of the Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative (JTI): - 'EcoDesign', - 'Green Regional Aircraft', - 'Green Rotorcraft', - 'Sustainable and Green Engines', - 'Smart Fixed Wing Aircraft', - 'Systems for Green Operations', - 'Technology Evaluator'. The JTI is based on the idea that aviation is an essential element of today's society. Although today air transport only produces 2 percent of man-made CO2 emissions, this is expected to increase to 3 percent by 2050. The Clean Sky JTI has a budget estimated at 1.6 billion, equally shared between the European Commission and industry, over the period 2008 - 2013. The budgets vary from between sections of the call as may conditions for eligibility. To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/dc/index.cfm?fuseaction=UserSite.FP7DetailsCallPage&call_id=380 The SP1-JTI-CS-2010-05 call for proposals is not published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
