Proposals are sought encouraging trade in, and transfer of, Community energy technology in non-Member developing countries, ultimately to establish partnerships with firms in these countries, complementing actions under the THERMIE and European Communities International Investment Partners programmes. Projects must be presented by an industrial body (excluding universities and research institutes) and shall exclude research cooperation or commercial-level equipment supply. Areas include: Rationalization of energy use; improvement of industrial processes; improvement of electricity supply systems; decentralized energy production; production and use of solid fossil fuels, distribution and use of natural gas.Full information may be obtained from: Commission of the European Communities Directorate-General for Energy Attn.
