Physico-chemical behaviour of atmospheric pollutants
The European Commission, DG XII, has published the proceedings of a conference entitled "Physico-chemical behaviour of atmospheric pollutants". The conference took place on 18-22 October 1993 in Varese, Italy. The objective of the conference was to review the current status of the research which is part of the concerted action "Atmospheric chemistry". The proceedings present the results of studies conducted in the following four areas: - Oxidation efficiency of the atmosphere; - Transport processes; - Instrumental and analytical techniques; - The role of clouds in tropospheric chemistry. The two-volume proceedings represent a useful update of the research in progress in Europe on the most important global environmental issues related to the anthropogenic perturbation of the troposphere.
