A Legislative Resolution of the European Parliament, sitting on 22 February 1991, embodies the opinion of the European Parliament on the proposal from the Commission to the Council (COM(90) 560) concerning the conclusion of the Framework Agreement for cooperation between the European Economic Community and the Republic of Chile. The Parliament approved the conclusion and entry into force of the agreement and instructed its President to forward this resolution to the Council and Commission and to the Governments of the Member States and of Chile. A further Resolution of the same date, on economic relations between the European Community and Chile, welcomes the trade and cooperation agreement signed on 20 December 1990 and highlights, inter alia, the commitment made to encouraging and promoting scientific and technological cooperation and the introduction of a specific sector on the environment.
