India publishes Call for Proposals for EU-India cooperation in water technology
A call for Proposals on EU-Indian cooperation on Water Technology has been published by the Government of India's Department of Science and Technology The call is complementary to the topic ENV.2012.6.6-1 of the Call for Proposals of the Cooperation Programme's Environment Theme, which was published by the European Commission on 20 July 2011. The call is designed to facilitate India-EU project mode partnerships with a view to addressing select water-related challenges in the area of purification and water reclamation-reuse through either: - joint research leading to co-generation of new knowledge and co-development of innovative technologies/products beyond current state-of-the-art; - the design-deployment of field-based solutions out of the proven technologies available in Europe for specific water-challenged sites in India to assess the potential and sustainability of these technologies from both socioeconomic and technical point of view to develop scalable, sustainable and affordable solutions. The Indian partners should apply to this call, while the EU-based partners should apply to the EC call.
