University-Enterprise Europe Awards 1994
Since its foundation in 1973, a series of awards have been presented each year by the University-Enterprise Foundation of Madrid to organizers and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the realization of projects involving cooperation between enterprises and university departments. The awards will be know as Praemium Europea Universitas Industria. The 1994 awards, covering eligible activities undertaken in 1993, will be presented after a selection procedure in Madrid. They will be organized at European level (including university departments and enterprises based either in Community Member States or in EFTA countries) with the support of the Commission and COMNET (Community Network for European Education and Training). COMNET is composed of 117 University-Enterprise Training Partnerships (UETPs, created in the context of the COMETT programme), or similar organizations. It is the largest European network concerned with multilateral exchanges and contacts in the field of education and training in advanced technology, with activities extending from student exchanges to the marketing of products. The honorary president of the jury for the University-Enterprise Foundation Awards will be Commission Vice-President Professor A. Ruberti. To be considered for an award, entries must be presented (in an official letter of support) by a local or regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an entrepreneurial organization, or a UETP. University departments must be presented by a UETP or by the Rectorate of their university.
