Call for proposals for the Trans- European Transport Network
The European Commission has published a call for proposals under the annual work programme 2011 for grants in the field of the Trans- European Transport Network (TEN-T) for the period 2007-2013. The Trans-European Transport Network Executive Agency is responsible for managing the technical and financial implementation of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) programme, one of the most important means of EU infrastructure funding. The agency's mission is to support the European Commission and TEN-T project managers and promoters, by ensuring the technical and financial management of the projects and the successful implementation of the TEN-T Programme. This annual work programme specifically addresses a number of areas. - the development of an integrated and multi-modal transport system; - measures to reduce the impact of maritime transport on climate change through targeted actions; - the acceleration/facilitation of the implementation of TEN-T projects; - support to public-private partnerships (PPPs) and innovative financial instruments; - support to the long term implementation of the TEN-T network, in particular development of corridors that shall enable a coordinated implementation of the network. An aim of this call is to make better use of Union funds and maximise the impact of the expected results in specific areas of TEN-T policy. The overall objective is to attract proposals for mature and sustainable projects, which are expected to reflect, in a targeted way, EU transport priorities. To see the official call announcement, please consult: OJ:C:2012:007(opens in new window)
