'Implementing geological disposal of radioactive waste technology platform's exchange forum meeting', Helsinki, Finland
An event entitled 'Implementing geological disposal of radioactive waste technology platform's exchange forum meeting' will take place on 29 November 2011 in Helsinki, Finland. The conference is being organized by the EU-funded 'Secretariat of the implementing geological disposal technology platform' (SECIGD) project. The project helps carry out the activities of the Implementing Geological Disposal of Radioactive Waste Technology Platform (IGD-TP), which supports the safety and implementation of deep geological disposal solutions for spent fuel, high-level waste and other long-lived radioactive waste. Following the publication of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) of the IGD-TP, this conference will focus on the first wave of activities derived from the SRA that are planned for the next four years (2012-2016). The plenary of the forum will outline the objectives and the work ongoing in preparing the first IGD-TP's Deployment Plan and work groups on topics derived from the SRA. It will also discuss future work and solicit ideas for cooperation under these activities, ranging from technical projects to technical and scientific and organisational working groups. For further information, please visit: http://www.igdtp.eu/(opens in new window)
