Call for support to the development and implementation of Innovation Union commitment 21 on knowledge transfer
The European Commission has published a call for tenders for support to the development and implementation of Innovation Union commitment 21 on knowledge transfer. The European Commission's Innovation Union plan contains over thirty commitments to making the European Union into a world-class science performer. Commitment number 21 seeks to "facilitate effective collaborative research and knowledge transfer within the Research Framework Programmes and beyond." This specific call will cover three tasks: - Analysis of the existing legal regimes in the Member States regarding management of intellectual property and transfer thereof and investigating the need for and feasibility of an EU policy measure on knowledge transfer. - Analysis of existing model agreements for the transfer of knowledge from higher education institutes performing research and public research organisation to the business sector and delivery of a set of model agreements which can be used by participants in EU research and innovation funding programmes and beyond. - Building networks and platforms to strengthen partnerships between academia and business through inter alia cooperation between knowledge transfer offices in specific sectors.To see the official call announcement, please consult: OJ No S 100 of 26 May 2012(opens in new window)
