Call for proposals for FP7 'Health 2013-Innovation'
The European Commission has published the Health 2013-Innovation call for proposals. The Health 2013 programme aims to improve the health of European citizens and increase the competitiveness of European industries and services while addressing global health issues. With a budget of EUR 840 million, the programme consolidates efforts initiated over the last two years with a focus on innovation and SME participation. Though it focuses on brain research, antimicrobial drug resistance and comparative effectiveness research, Health 2013 covers other topics as well as horizontal activity to translate research results into innovative health applications. The new call consists of 35 different topics, ranging from the development of innovative therapeutic approaches and interventions to research on traumatic brain injuries, emerging epidemics, cancer, neglected diseases and support to EU policy needs. It is a two-stage process with the first one due to be finalised by December 2012. To see the official call announcement, please consult: OJ C 202 of 10 July 2012(opens in new window)
