The European Commission has published the Ocean of Tomorrow 2013 call for proposals. Four different topics have been called: - Biosensors for real time monitoring of biohazard and man made chemical contaminants - Innovative multifunctional sensors for in-situ monitoring of marine environment and related maritime activities - Innovative antifouling materials for maritime applications - Innovative transport and deployment systems for the offshore wind energy sector The call, which aims to bring together research forces to meet challenges in ocean management, fosters innovation and promotes the development of marine technology. It benefits from a total indicative budget of EUR 55 million and is open to collaborative projects between technology providers and end-users.
