Summary of the European Report on Science and Technology Indicators 1994
The European Commission, DG XII, has published an executive summary of the European Report on Science and Technology Indicators 1994. The report is the first in a series of Commission studies on science and technology in general. The aim of the report is to ascertain how the performance of the Member States of the European Union in science and technology compares with other leading countries. The report is divided into the following sections: - European S&T in the world; - Industrial R&D and competitiveness; - European diversity, convergence and cohesion; - R&D cooperation in Europe; - The EU as a world partner; - European attitudes towards science and technology.
