The European Commission has published its Artemis Call 2013, which is coming under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). With an EU contribution of EUR 410 million, the ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking (JU) was created in February 2008 in order to implement a Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) in Embedded Computing Systems. The ARTEMIS JU is set up as a public-private partnership, bringing together the European Commission and about 23 European countries with ARTEMIS-IA, which is an association representing the R&D actors in the area of embedded systems (companies, research centres, universities). ARTEMIS research projects should be industry-driven projects which aim at generating new and improved technologies and in applying them in products, processes or services. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the competitiveness of European industry, improve sustainability, and facilitate the emergence of new embedded system-related markets and applications that respond to societal needs. To see the official call announcement, please consult: Participant portal(opens in new window) To see partnership requests for this call, please consult: CORDIS Partners Service(opens in new window) Remarks: Before contacting the Commission, proposers are strongly advised to consult the original call text.
