To reach a wider readership and support access on a larger selection of devices, CORDIS has developed a mobile-friendly version of its research*eu results magazine. Since February 2013, all CORDIS magazines are available in reflowable EPUB format, a free and open e-book standard. In other words, it will adapt to your device's screen size to ensure the best user experience on all smartphones, tablets and hybrids. The e-books have internal links which allow you to navigate from the text to a footnote and back. Moreover, the enhanced e-books contain links to video and audio material. They can also contain interactive features, such as text pop-ups or fill-in forms. Next to each edition of the research*eu results magazine on the CORDIS website there is a small green icon, which represents the EPUB e-book format. It means it's now possible for all those interested in EU-funded research and innovation to enjoy an improved reading experience on the device of their choice. Just like the existing paper and PDF formats, the e-books are free of charge. For all research*eu results and research*eu focus magazine issues you can download them on CORDIS, order a copy on EU Bookshop or subscribe to have every issue delivered to you directly by the EU's Publications Office. Fixed layout EPUB was tried out for the 2012 magazine issues but this format was only readable on iPads and iPhones. The reflowable EPUB magazines open access to all devices and e-readers that support this open standard. The research*eu results magazine is the European Commission's primary publication devoted to the most promising outcomes and stories of the latest EU-funded research projects. It is published ten times a year, with each issue putting emphasis on a theme relevant to current affairs. The research*eu focus magazine is published by CORDIS on an occasional basis, up to six times a year. Each issue covers a specific topic of research interest. It features articles on EU policies, initiatives, programmes and projects. The research*focus magazines will also be available as e-books.For more information, please visit: http://cordis.europa.eu/research-eu/home_en.html http://bookshop.europa.eu/en/research-eu-results-magazine-pbZZAC12001/issues/?PublicationKey=ZZAC12001&EditionKey=ZZAC12001ENC_PAPER&CatalogCategoryID=Gj0KABst5F4AAAEjsZAY4e5L
