Call for proposals 'Clean Sky JTI 2013-02'
The European Commission has published a call for proposals entitled 'Clean Sky JTI 2013-02'. This new call comes under the FP7 specific programme 'Cooperation'. With 2.2 billion passengers every year and 425 billion of world GDP, the aviation sector is an essential element of today's global society. However, concern over climate change, air pollution and noise have pushed the industry to improve aircrafts' performance. Clean Sky is a Public Private Partnership between the European Commission and the Aeronautical Industry which was set up to bring significant step changes regarding the environmental impact of aviation. It is expected to speed up technological developments and shorten the time to market for new and cleaner solutions tested on full scale demonstrators.
