The transit of natural gas through grids
Council Directive 91/296/EEC of 31 May 1991 on the transit of natural gas through grids, having regard to the Commission proposal (OJ No C 247 of 28.9.1989 and OJ No C 268 of 24.10.1990) states that measures shall be taken by Member States to facilitate the transit of natural gas between high-pressure transmission grids in accordance with the conditions laid down in this Directive. Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with the Directive before 1 January 1992.
