Commission authorizes R&D State aid in Germany and Spain
The European Commission has agreed to the following cases of State aid in the field of research and development, pursuant to Articles 92 and 93 of the EC Treaty: - Germany: . Initiative for environmentally friendly production in East Berlin, in order to stimulate R&D for ecological and environmental production (aid intensity: 35% for applied R&D, 40% in the case of SMEs); . Naval construction techniques, in order to stimulate the research in this area (aid intensity: 100% for fundamental research, 50% for basic industrial research); - Spain: . Aid to support research activities carried out by companies established in Andalucia (aid intensity: 35%).
