Biotechnology (1992-1994) Progress Report 1994
The Commission, DG XII, has published the "Biotechnology Progress Report 1994", reviewing the research activities carried out in the framework of the Biotechnology programme (1992-1994) under the Third Framework Programme of Community RTD activities. Following the first call for proposals for the Biotechnology programme in May 1992, 99 projects were launched during 1993. The report covers in particular the first year of implementation for these projects. It is published in two volumes: - Volume I: Abstracts, covering the results achieved in the different projects and the contact details of the participants; - Volume II: Detailed presentations, consisting of more extensive reports of the research activities jointly presented by the different participants in each project. The report covers projects and activities in the following four areas of the Biotechnology programme: - Molecular approaches; - Cellular and organism approaches; - Ecology and population biology; - Horizontal activities common to all areas.
