How StandICT.eu supports SDOs in their standards development activities
StandICT.eu has now entered the last 6 months of its lifespan! The project has achieved remarkable outcomes over the past 18 months, enabling a wide array of ICT Standards Experts from all over Europe to make valuable contributions to standardization work in the key-domains for the Digital Single Market, such as IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity and 5G. As a result, funding from the STANDICT.eu Open Calls has significantly boosted the involvement of European organizations in international Standard Developing Organisations. Here’s a snapshot of some of STANDICT.eu’s most significant outcomes: • 235 Funded Applicants from the Open Calls. • 419 Eligible applications received. • Top-notch average quality of the applications (with only 88 out of the 419 scoring below the quality threshold). • Complete coverage of the 5 technology areas for the DSM. • Increasing interest in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, eInvoice, eHealth, Intelligent Transport Systems and Blockchain. StandICT.eu grantees have taken their expertise to a broad spectrum of Working Groups and Technical Committees within the most important European & International Standards Organizations. The new STANDICT.eu Infographic gives a bird’s eye view on how the 1.4 million budget has been allocated across SDOs and where experts have taken their know-how in the drive towards ICT Standardization as a key element of Europe’s DSM. As such, STANDICT.eu transparently shows funding distribution for 6 of the 8 open calls, with two more calls in progress.
