Protection of Community forests from atmospheric pollution
The European Commission, DG VI, has published an invitation to tender relating to research and experimental development services concerning environmental pollution. The Commission wishes to assign to an external contractor certain tasks within the context of activities protecting Community forests from atmospheric pollution, defined in Regulation (EEC) No 3528/86 (OJ No L 362 of 17.11.1986) as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2157/92 (OJ No L 217 of 31.7.1992). The aim of Regulation (EEC) No 2157/92 is to establish a network of permanent observation plots for intensive, non-stop surveillance. The external contractor would be assigned technical and scientific tasks within the context of managing data resulting from the surveillance activities. These tasks comprise, in particular, the validation, stocking and distribution of data, as well as the execution and coordination of the data evaluation on a European level.
