The European Commission, DG XXIV (Consumer Policy Service), intends awarding contracts for completing various projects in the field of consumer policy. This notice aims at enabling interested candidates to express their interest in order to be included in a file kept at DG XXIV, on the basis of which specific invitations to tender will be dispatched. This notice concerns the following works: - Helping Commission departments in the following-up of works relating to the "consumer transaction" field and "integration of the consumer policy within the other Community policies", i.e. in particular, publicity in general, marketing techniques, financial services, guarantees, lodging of an appeal, information society, public services, telecommunications, postal services, energy, worldwide trade; - Studies involving consumer transactions and the integration of consumer policy within other Community policies; - System for monitoring and evaluating the application of directives (unfair clauses, contracts negotiated at a distance, door-to-door selling, timeshare, consumer credit and other texts of specific importance to consumer economic interests); - Organization of conferences, symposiums, pilot projects in the field of lodging of an appeal (see COM(93) 576 final version dated 16.11.1993).
